After Final Fantasy 11 there wasn't much hope for this game, and when it was finally released they confirmed it. For a few days the game wasn't really playable and almost every aspect of the game broke constantly, eventually while they started to make changes they allowed everyone to play for free (at which point I just stopped playing) and over the next coming months they spent alot of time changing the game and fixing it.
That then lead for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn which seemed to have been a better version of the game but it had already lost alot of its reputation at this point. It's a shame because I really love the Final Fantasy series, it's my favourite of all time and it's unfortunate to see a game not living up to the potential of it predecessors. Old but Gold.
