The Hobbit

The Lord of the Rings trilogy has got to be one of the best trilogy made, and any true geek will tell you that!

Though I think they fell a little short and the release of the hobbit, the books is a little more child friendly. Not to the point of silly but you can see it in the movie itself really, I know it isn't apart of the trilogy but is apart of the same universe and essentially set ups the story line for LotR. With that in mind it would of been great if they attempted the exact same feel that LotR gave us.

They used elements of characters from LotR that hadn't appeard in the Hobbit and vica versa with spreading the Hobbit over three films, and all this is so they can make more money. They have added quite alot of their own parts adapted for the movie (which is silly). The scenes that were re-done though are brilliant for example the scene with Golum, over all as a stand alone film I'd say on the whole it was a great film but it doesn't compare to LorT at all!
